Bio
In 2021 Corey Chapman was hired as Madison Central's Strength & Conditioning Coordinator and Assistant Football Coach. Coach Chapman has worked on both sides of the ball during his time here at MC, working with wide receivers and tight ends while also coaching linebackers and special teams. In his first season with the Tribe receivers, they managed to haul in 950 passing yards and 7 touchdowns. During that same season, the defense created over 30 turnovers and accounted for 4 defensive touchdowns. In his second season with the wide receivers, production significantly improved through the air resulting in 1300 yards and 20 TD's. The defensive side of the ball saw an increased number of tackles and sacks generated by the linebacker group, who finished top 3 in both categories.
Before joining Madison Central, Coach Chapman was on the sidelines at Madison Southern for two seasons, resulting in two District Championships. Coach Chapman's first season coaching was at Pinecrest Academy in Cumming, Georgia, where he coached alongside NFL greats Terrance Mathis and Tim Lewis.
Coach Chapman is a graduate of Belfry High School, where he played for Kentucky's All-Time Wins leader Philip Haywood and was part of Belfry's first back-to-back state championship run in 2004. Chapman also went on to achieve All-State honors his senior year. After high school Coach Chapman graduated from Marshall University with a double major in Physical Education & Health and a Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration.
